just been doing some OCing on my 3500+ and iv come up with a few setups, which do you prefer? 7 x 300HTT = 2.1ghz 10 x 250HTT = 2.5ghz. the board will not post if its set to 8 x 300HTT if i try i think i can get 10 x 275HTT. the limiting factor in my system is the PC2700 ram. waiting on cash for some PC4000 though cooling is stock and under load @ 2.5ghz only hits 45C this is abit of a rant, just waiting on my WC and ram for some more OC fun. i really need a better mobo
What memory speed are you running with each of those htt's? Since you mention 2700 mem, guessing its going to be dividers? Putting mem at 200 fsb in both cases? If so, then shoot for the highest clockspeed
only one of the sticks is 2700 while the other is 3200 mem. will do some benchmarks later to see what kinda difference it makes. and another Q, whats the HTT frequency? im guessing sutting like 200HTT x 5 = 1000HTT. im i right in assuming this? ill have my new mobo in a few weeks so ill let you guys know what happens then
Thats right on HTT So at 300, you'd need to run 3* giving 3*300. 4* is probably a little bit too much of a push for the neo
im still using the K8NS ultra atm highlander. so if its set 3*300 its 900HTT tight?, im gonna do a bit more OCing and see how high i get
