Is it bad that I'm mostly surprised someone is retiring without a shitstorm of sexual harassment accusations first?

When Bowser originally joined Nintendo, his promo photo was done in front of shelves filled with branded toys - including a plush Mario and Luigi, who had been tied together with a controller cable as though they were being kidnapped. Which, y'know, fair play to whoever came up with that one!

Hang on, I can probably find it... Yeah, here we go:

A sad commentary on the state of the world. Or perhaps a shining beacon of hope for other highly-paid CEOs.

In CEO/COO terms Reggie is one of the lower paid ones. He has a net worth of around $40million, which is a shed load, but compared to the billions people like Kotick and Wilson have had once all their bonuses are accounted for he's been on chump change, especially when he's been one of the leaders through Nintendo's most profitable period (that one year when they wrote off the Wii U and built a new factory notwithstanding).

But then Nintendo have always been a very conservative company when it comes to finances. The real question, is Mr Bowser's body ready?
