Considering the RX 5700 can be found for a bit less than £300...

American prices are before sales tax, UK prices are after sales tax.

259 USD is £195, but throw in the 20% sales tax and its £235. So it is way too much, especially considering there is also a RX 5600 coming that has to fit in between the RX 5500 and RX 5700.

£160 is much more reasonable, that is about the same as the 580.

A top end price of £160-180 would be reasonable, but for a X5XX series part to start in that range is a bit optimistic of AMD...

This puts a really narrow window for the 5600 and 5600XT to fit in, too. This is how I would arrange the AMD Navi stack:

-5500/XT 4GB only, start at £120-130, up to £150-160 for top-end XT models.
    -5600 and 5600XT cover the £160-200 and £200-240 brackets
-Slight drop of vanilla 5700 down to £270-280
-Similar drop of 5700XT to £320-330
    -Introduce 5800/XT @ £400/440 to undercut 2070S

This would give AMD a price/performance win in pretty much every segment up to RTX 2080.
