    Are you certain about having to rename your character if there's a name clash? In the past they've got around this by adding the server on to your name. For instance, when they merged Stormrage with Azuremyst in past and there was two characters named Fred, you'd get a fred-azuremyst and fred-stormrage.

    I hope they do it that way again, I'll be bloody annoyed if I am forced to change the names of characters I have had for up to 13½ years.

    EDIT: no mention of forced name changes on Wowhead.
