Yes, you can leave the RGB headers unplugged.
Alternatively, buy any other fan without RGB.

TBH, it's nothing new, all fans have a minimum fan speed and becomes 0dB at 0% duty cycle. Motherboards will usually do a detection sweep and set the minimal fan speed to the minimum it still spins. To get this 0dB feature, you just need to set it in the motherboard fan controller, no different to any other fan.

My Noctua and Silverstone fans are not advertised as 0dB, and I can still spin down to 0 RPM based on temperature sensors. Apart from 1 CPU fan is PWM, rest are old 3-pin voltage controlled. All of them are 0dB when the system doesn't require the cooling. This feature is more fan controller dependent.


Only good thing I can see from this new fan is the fact PWM range goes down to ~300 RPM. Sub-500 RPM is where I like to operate if my case fans must spin during light usage.
