If someone has £500 to blow on a chair there are so many normal chair options that "gaming" chairs simply make no sense whatsoever...

Word. £500 gets you a mint condition refurb Herman Miller Aeron.

But no headrest. Since having my first chair equipped with a headrest - all subsequent chairs must come with headrests.

But yeah, there are much cheaper alternatives with headrests.

I on the other hand, never used the headrest when I did have one, we're all different.

I love my Aeron and, still have 9 years left on the warranty.

I sit very upright (pretty much 90degrees) in front of the PC … I guess after decades of hunching over my keyboard and staring into my monitors, I’ve now realised that as a tall person my back isn’t going to look after itself.

Also, when I fancy playing my games on my TV, I just swing the chair round to face the TV. Recline it and pick up my controller. Great for film watching and YouTube binging too.

will never go without headrest again.

Or with RGB ATX leads, RGB mouse mats, RGB headphone stands and no doubt RGB pencils. Cheaper than going to a disco when combined with the right soundtrack.

I used an Aeron for 12h/day for five years and was glad to be rid of it. If I could have burnt it without causing a full-tower evacuation, I would have. Each to their own.
That said, it's the piles of toot under my desk causing me to sit awkwardly that currently causes the most discomfort. Need to pull finger out and tidy.

That looks like more money than sense to me...

No one chair suits everyone. When my Aeron was delivered I was going to buy my wife one too but, she tried mine and didn't like it at all.

I didn't particularly like the mesh seat when I had one at work, but I never really had any physical ails while I had it.

If any seat manufacturers happen to come here:

make the headrest adjustable to accommodate both short and tall people

Yes! When I did have chairs with headrest, it was always set too low.

Same here! My head rests on the edge of the headrest - the stiffest part of the headrest - not very comfy!

There wasn't a huge amount of movement, the back was fairly tall and whilst ok for my 5'9" partner, shorter people would probably end up with the back of their head meeting the infinity mirror rgb section.

Thats good to know for possible buyers.

I’m 6’1” and the Noblechair I’ve got is about 1.5” too short for the sweet spot. It could probably get away with being 1” taller for me, to be good.
