Would of been better if the there was wind so the vegetation would move. maybe a slight sun shower for water physx and so more movement in objects utilizing tessellation.

All in all I think 3Dmark is geared to show better performance towards the highest bidder. So if Antech makes a GPU watch out!

Meh atleast it's nicer to watch for the next couple of years than Vantage ever was.

By watching the video, I thought about the nature scene in 3dmark2001. Back then we thought "oh I can't wait for games to look like that !". It eventually happened, although never with as much movement in the foliage.

Then I realized games in 2010 don't even look better than 3dMark2003, and that at this pace, they won't for another long time.

That's when I came up with the quote in my sig

background animation is an important feature in graphic performance
Moving water stream and maybe flopping leaves for physx
Rain and water puddles also provide a higher level of lighting reflection than just HDR effects.
Tessellation on static objects are cool but tessellation on a fast moving object would really push the performance of a GPU

The Antech reference is a funny towards the obvious sponsor, So yeh this post is interesting to those who want to really know what their GPU's can do when running a HIGHER quality game.

Developers will stay tied to the capabilities of the current gaming consoles. I'm afraid we won't be at the receiving end of quality graphics unless new consoles with significantly improved hardware come out

before the end of the year isn't very descriptive.

before or after rumoured ATI 6900 or nVidia 500? i would love to see benchmarks done with this and those new cards.

So would it be fair to say this won't work on any other graphics cards other than ones that support DirectX 11?

I've only got a GTX 275 and Windows 7 has DirectX 11 but I have a feeling I won't be able to run the new 3DMark right? It'd probably be pointless anyway as even if I could everything would probably look like a slideshow!
