Will be back later once I fine my max overclock on my 990x.

5mins later I test my cpu @ 5ghz. Pics below with awesome low temps.

After a few hrs testing the best I could do was P14385

    Cpu clocked @4.86Ghz as 3DMark 11 didn't want to with a 5Ghz 990x?

I haven't even overclocked my GPU's yet. I'm sure I can get over p15000, but I'm not going to overclock my 580's until I watercool them.

    Cheers,

    Simon.

Its the temps that are amazing for me, kicks ass on my 45nm 930.

First time I booted I tried 4ghz @stock voltages (1.20v). It ran flawlessly. Temps where 15c-17c Idle, Maxed out at 34c-37c.
I change my memory to XMP profile (2ghz) which upped the BCLK to 143 and changed the multiplier to 28. Saved and exit and boom 4ghz @ stock voltages. Awesome!!

Just an incredible chip, another good move for me..I thinks anyhow:D

    Cheers,

    Simon.

    And great bills :p

its annoying it wouldn't hold at 5GHz though :( What water loop are you using?

I could of pushed it allot more, but only being a day old, I didn't want to add to much voltage.

    I have 2 water loops, 1 for the motherboard chipset 120.2 with a 750lph pump and 1 is a EK HF waterblock with a 120.3 and a 120.2 rad and 1200lph pump.

1, RES-PUMP-120.2-CPU BLOCK-120.3-RES - The radiators are located in the bottom of my case with a push/ pull effect.

2, RES-PUMP-120.2-CHIPSET BLOCKS-RES - The radiator is located on the roof of my case.

    Cheers,

    Simon.

If you just used the 360 rad for your CPU you probably wouldn't see a very big rise in temps tbh. When are you going to get a chiller unit for it all then? I'd like to see what you'd get with everything OC'd on a chiller...

I probably won't bother with a chiller as the temps are great. (The temps are not holding me back from OC any further, it's the fear of destroying my chip with to much voltage).

My next move is to put waterblocks on all of my 580's and OC them.

    Cheers,

    Simon.
