That score was with only 256 MB DDR ram.
Have to give it another go :)

    6850 on Radeon 8500LE 250/275 Performace settings, untweaked with 32bit depth not 24. :)

Gimme 6 months to get the guts to void my warrenty and ill flash the bios with an ati retail and slap on some chunky heatsinks and a TEC and seriously OC this mofo!! :D:D

Also mines only an 133fsb Sdr board, whereas everyone else on 3Dmark now is DDR 150fsb+

EDIT: Make that 7145 after a few performance tweaks :)

Nice score mate, its looking good :D

Ive got some tweaks to do on mine, as since I got rid of the default bios on my mobo, my scores have gone down a bit..... :( to around the 7260 mark

How do I go about flashing the bios on the card btw? It may get me some more points as Im still running the bog standard bios that is over 6 months old now on my GF3.

    Cheers

Dunno about geforce 3s, youll need the flash program and perhaps Ti500 bios.

With my radeon - cause its an LE version its only 250/250, but if i flash the bios with standard retail 8500 then ill get 275/275 default and i *think* a tad more voltage. So ill be able to get 300/300(600) easy and whip your ass!! :D:D

    ;)

Well, I benched my new system this morning. Compare URL is below. I got 7065 marks, which is on the latest nVidia reference drivers under Windows XP. I had massive problems getting 3DM2K1 to run tho. I kept getting bluescreen crashes, at first of an nv4 dll file, then of memory management, then the display driver stuck in an infinite loop, then an IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL... still, I ran it eventually!

Arrrrr, but but but, my card is over 6 months old, and it still competes with the stock speed of the Radeon 8500 (I think its only about 15 points or something negligable), and that was with my old bios, lower speeds of 230/500, so when I get the mobo bios tweaked propperly, and get the card higher (I havent had time to pee about cos Ive got coursework and I need a system that isnt gonna crash) to something more like 245 with the BLOO orb thats sitting on there ATM.... Ive also got some BLOO RAMsinks to go on the card too, which will again have to wait till christmas hols, when all me coursework is outta the way.

scores have dropped with the new bios  which is very strange, as I thought they were supposed to improve your score <hmmm>

Anyway, I WILL still compete with the Radeon 8500 stock even though my card is a generation behind :D

remember radeon 8500 drivers have been out a month, and geforce 3s about 5 already, soooo give it a little while for ati to get their buttz movin and hopefully theyll get some optimised drivers released. :)

    here's mine

    specs:
    Duron 600@1016 (6.5*156)
    Iwill KK266-R
    256 Mb Corsair PC150
    Asus V7100 Pro T (Geforce2 mx400) @ 247/250
    Score:3642
    compare link: http://gamershq.madonion.com/compare2k1.shtml?2072447

After reading the tweaks of Gibbo I got interested a lot in Madonion's benchie.
Currently I'm number 2 with duron + geforce2 MX400, the first one has performed a lot of voltage tweaks (card + mobo), I'm not going to do that as I'm planning to buy a DDR config soon...

What I find pleasant is that I beat systems with a Geforce2 GTS Pro...

Maybe not for your Radeon DDR, but the 3286 betas for XP 7500 and 8500 are great! :)

Doesnt really bother me to be frank, with the Radeon DDR, I only use the machine when I go home from Uni, so I dont have to cart my desktop home.... Ive got a laptop, but I hate typing on laptop keyboards, so I only do it when really necessary! :D

Its not really used for games, so 3Dmark doesnt really bother me on that particular system :p

Yep, but but but.... I am upgrading soon, as the PS2 port on mine has gone capoof! :D

Gives me a reason to go DDR dunnit? hehe ;)

Won't be till the summer tho, when Ive got a lot more cash than at the moment, but I'll probably go KR7 RAID, just simply cos I like ABit mobos... even tho this ones PS2 port has just gone bye bye, it is a while old now, so Ill forgive it for that minor mishap. The rest of the time its been stable, and quick :D

True, by then I'll have a new CPU too, and prolly a new Grafix card, but still, I can't afford to do that at this moment in time... I'm in the process of looking for a new car, which is gonna cost me about £3000+ so I aint got the money :(

But if I had a spare £200, I'd go for it :) Cos I know it would be worth it :D
