hi, well I've bought a brand new 9800pro and installed it in my a7n8x rev2. I got 3 monitors. the 2 firsts on the 9800pro and the 3rd is on an old matrox 8mb. now since I've put the 9800pro in, the monitor on the pci card is known by XP pro as default but my primary monitor is on the vga plug in the 9800. now that's causing a problem with ultramon 2.4. I can't have a taskbar on the pci screen... no matter that I do it seems no possible... but I had one with my 9600... anyone can help me out?
OK dumb question, but have you opened the display settings and set the proper monitor to default? There should be a check for default. Also, have you tried switching the numbering of the monitors? You can drag the pictures of the monitors to different locations to renumber them. Lastly, have you checked the BIOS to see what the boot order is for the display? Most machines require the PCI card to boot first, but yours may let the AGP be first.
