Can you good folks out recommend a decent but not expensive 40+ TV. I currently have a Samsung 32" F5000 Series 5 Full HD LED TV and have been pretty pleased with it and am inclined to stick with Samsung but I can be persuaded to look at other brands. Although I have added Smart that is not set in stone as I rarely watch up catchup TV what is important is price and I am amazed how prices have come down for larger screen. Needs to have Vesa as it will be wall mounted and ideally cost between £300-£400 All suggestions welcome. I see Ebuyer have a 46" for £189 but I suspect that will be a piece of junk. http://www.ebuyer.com/737713-46-full-hd-d-led-tv-with-usb-and-pvr-function-bd46pdlf

Could not find much of a review except one that says sound is crap and no optical socket which I prefer as I have a soundbar. Did find this though. http://www.johnlewis.com/samsung-ue...3_1454154356_8e6615f62ec11d24e4948a84e6eb7f55
LG 43" 4K Smart TV for £399. http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/tv-and...smart-ultra-hd-4k-43-led-tv-10135235-pdt.html
I've never owned a flat panel TV that didn't sound crap, tbh. Shame about the optical though. Can you not hook it up any other way?
Looking for personal reviews and recommendations, though I appreciate the ones in high street stores as I will be able to have a look before purchase.
I prefer the quality of sound you get from optical so although I could use a 3.5 jack I prefer not to.
from what ive read the Hisense ones are supposed to be quite good http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/hisense/ltdn50k321uwts/hise-ltdn50k321uwts edit: last update enabled 4k Netflix , and apaprantly amazon video and you tube 4k will be enabled in the next few weeks via update - can play 4k via pc already. will be my next tv purchase
I can seriously vouch for Hisense. My lady and I got a 65" just over a year ago now and it's been absolutely flawless. Their support is UK based too, and very helpful and friendly. I suspect the 4k module in my TV is faulty and they offered to come out and fix it immediately. I told them to hold off and it turns out we don't 'do' anything in 4k so it's really not that important. The only complaint I could have is that it's heavy. Like so heavy it took me and my brother on two step ladders to get it up.
I don't see the point of 4K, as you say there is very little in that format so not a must for me. I am concerned about the weight though I will need to check my wall fitting.
The 50" is probably far lighter than ours. I mean 65" is a bloody big screen and they obviously have to stop it flexing.
Hisense its a good tv for the price, Lack of HDR and weight of the tv will prevent it getting as many recomendations as it should.
HDR? I am actually looking at this one http://www.richersounds.com/product...inch-4k-ultra-hd-smart-tv/hise-ltdn40k321uwts The 40" one and the weight is considerably less at 8.9Kg as opposed to 13.8Kg.

Ultra HD or HDR on some tvs, is the new requirement for the next step up in quality. BT sport and netflix / amazon all support this already. 2.0a is the minimum hdmi requirement. The difference between 4k hdr and none 4k hdr can be quiet staggering to say the least. There is a model further up the chain that has HDR UHD on it.
As a PC upgrade?new build has been put back a year following excellent advice here I decided to throw £300 at a TV and bought this. http://www.richersounds.com/product...inch-4k-ultra-hd-smart-tv/hise-ltdn40k321uwts
