Picked up EVGA cards because my dads is almost silent, I love it and quiet is the word!

So This 550 ti or This 460 GTX. Which one would you go for?

Failing that, another GPU ~ £120. Must be quiet!

I'd go for the 460 mate.

If you SLI 460s, the pair will perform on par with a single GTX580 - all for less than £240.

    Great cards.

Read this also, it will give you a clearer idea of what they are capable of in SLI... :thumb:

460...the 550ti needs to be at least 20% cheaper to justify itself in that comparison...

GTX460, no contest. The 550Ti is a slower card so shouldn't even be considered at the same price.

GTX460 overclocked in SLI can be a moster system for a "tiny" price. Clocked at around 850/1700/4200 they will match GTX470 SLI as long as you don't run out of memory.

True - if you ramp a GTX460 up to 875-900MHz it will outperform a stock GTX470 in most games/benches (I tried it before I sold my 470).

But you don't need to go SLI to get processing power; even just the OC by itself will be fast enough (the 470 was too powerful for me, so I just run my 460 at stock).
