Will do I'm planning to take photos of my desk now with 27" and then with 40", wall mounted in same position. Then this weekend I'm going to Ikea to get bigger table top, then will take more photos of how it looks with bigger top
wounder if one of these could fit as the middle screen on a obutto with 2x 27ASUS to the left and right, with gaming focusing on the middle screen but for normal day to day the outside screens available, they say the obutto can manage 3x32"
OK... I don't know how to discribe it... I started with 14" CRT in early 90s, then had 15", 19" CRT. Then 19" LCD in 1999. After that I had Dell 24" 2407 and after that one, Hazro 27" 1440p. But this... this is something entirely different. This is phenomenal, extraordinary, unreal! Guys, sitting in front of 40" VA monitor is a totally new experience. I just played MGS5 and tried Witcher 3 - those games should be obligatory to play first after purchasing this screen. These games should come with this monitor as a bundle. Graphics set to full/extra high details in 4K resolution look incredible. WOW... To be honest I haven't even expected anythign like that. This is beyond me. To everyone who's planning buying new monitor - either 27" or ultra wide 34" - consider 40", or at least find a way to see it for yourself - this is a must for gamers. OK, photos tomorrow, I'm going back to Witcher
In fairness, with that monitor you can set the resolution to the same as an ultra wide can pretty much the same experience and the physical size. 2 for the price of one really.
Yep, also I have to say that playing games in 144op is also amazing, it looks great. So its a win win!
Right. I played MGS5 and Witcher whole night, had only 2 hours of sleep (it was a nap really) - now back in the office, walking dead...
yup it works out equiv to a 38" ultra wide 3840x1600 or something and as the black is so good the borders don't grate.
Looking forward to seeing this, I too have the 4k itch and this Philips screen looks pretty sweet. But I'm worried if moving away from an IPS panel to VA is going to be a downgrade regardless of the size?
Guess it depends on what you are coming from I came from a Dell 2711, it was an IPS, it is mostly pros and a good upgrade, only downsides to me of the Philips are slightly more afterglow in fast paced games, crap stand, average HDMI scaling and a poor screen control method.
This is my current screen.... https://www.businessdirect.bt.com/p...akers-led-monitor-i2757fm-8CSW.html?q=aoc ips I currently run a 290X which should be ok for 4K?
when I read this, this morning around 09:30AM, I could understand how it happened, but did make that ooohhh nooo sound lol
oooooohhhh noooo... not again! Go to bed, go to bed, go to bed.... Witcher 3 on 40" is freaking awesome
just ordered for tomorrow, I want to document how is the experience moving from triple screen to single large on an obutto, also hoping to keep the side 27" in portate (side ways). have to admit the horizontal height on the 27" is starting to bug me, its not enough.
