After my Parvum build I still have the upgrade itch and as 4K monitors have dropped considerably in price I am thinking of upgrading my monitor. (See Sig). Last month the Custom PC mag did a review of 4K monitors and I quite like the Iiyama ProLite B2888UHSU-B1 http://www.iiyama.com/gb_en/products/prolite-b2888uhsu-b1/ or the Asus PB287Q http://www.asus.com/uk/Monitors_Projectors/PB287Q/ but I am open other suggestions. I am assuming that my Evga GTX 670 will be able to handle a 4K screen OK though I am looking to SLI it shortly?
Mine is 2Gb. I believe, after doing a bit of research, that 2gb cards will be severely limited at 4K. I also game on my PC mainly FPS's so I am thinking that the 670 will definitely struggle. What about SLI or waiting perhaps to see what the next series of cards arrive in the next few weeks?
Even two 4Gb 670 would struggle at gaming in 4k. For gaming in 4k (IMHO) you are looking at something like a 4Gb 290x, or 3Gb 780Ti, even then you are looking at around the 30FPS mark for a single card.
