Just installed a Zalman bracket and 92mm Silenx fan to cool the northy and graphics card. Seems to have done the job, northbridge feels nice and cool, graphics is about the same (think the airflow might be causing warm air to get caught below the card :miffed: But the best of all CPU temps have dropped by what appears to be ~ 5°C!

This hot weather has bumped case temps up ~ 6 from normal and the CPU has followed so its good to have the temps down a little!

Yea thats an idea, have another SilenX 120mm spare somewhere....

Think its a read error (CPU temp) Cos the exhaust air is nice and cool

my board temp has gone up from 13'C to 15'C with the hot weather... but my CPU temp has gone down for some reason... :worried:

From 5'C loaded down to -2'C loaded at 2800Mhz :eyebrow:

Maybe the prommie has adjusted itself to compensate *hides as everyone laughs at Highlanders complete lack of Prommie knowledge*

Edit> Anyone know where the case temp sensor is on the infinity? Sitting at 33 at the moment, and the room is much cooler than before... Removing the case side drops it a few degrees.......<

Same thing happened to me when I changed from the Zalman heatpipe VGA cooler to the Arctic Cooling VGA Silencer - dropped about 5°C on the CPU temperature, I guess from the ambient heat being vented out of the case...

BigZ, maybe the AS has settled in? (also betraying complete lack of knowledge about Prometia - do you even use thermal goop? :D)

From the US, theres a uk supplier as well though www.soadvanced.com
Well worth it, cant tell the difference between fans on and fans off :D The Dragon mounts cause a little vibration though.....

Surely devils work would make it warmer though?

It's all weird. It was so hot in here yesterday (33 degrees.. room faces south.. like a greenhouse, and no a/c), yet my board temps only went up by 3 degrees, yet my cpu temps went from 31 at idle... to 40 at idle. If there is a magic temp fairy, I wish the biatch would leave my Mobo alone, and get to work on my CPU :hehe:

The NetboX kept rebooting yesterday due to overheating, opened it up to find that none of the Fans had been plugged in including the PSU fan :duh:

Oh and bigZ if you think the prommie aint working right you could always send it my way :D
