I'm just about ready to start buying my kit and play with a dremel, but I'd like to stick a res into my system...as it all is going to be internal the only spare space I have is a single 5.25 bay...I was looking at a maplin "waterproof enclosure" but they are too high...has anyone got a recommendation for what to use as a res for a res in a 5.25 bay?? It needs to be buyable in the UK...

I went DIY with my watercooling. Origionaly I had a cheap electrical box as my res but it took up too much space in my wimpy mid case.
Used 1/4in plexi (all I had around, and it was free:D ) to make a box in the top 5.25" bay.

Then I had to rebuild it due to leakege :sigh: I think the antifreeze ate away the epoxy I used to build it.

Rebuild works fine. I also cut a hole in the top of the case so the res doubles as a window.

maybe....coulda just been the weight of the water too....should use plexi weld....chemicly bonds the stuff together...so if it leaks then either the plexi is cracked or u didnt seal it all the way....that stuff doesnt go away

Yea I tried to find that stuff but my local hardware store only had all purpose epoxy.
I also forgot to seal it up from the inside.
My rebuild uses aquarium Goop as an adhesive to join it all together and as a sealent on the inner and outer edges.

I wish I had read yur forums before I began watercooling.
I've learned so much from y'all.

I'm pretty sure it was some chemical reaction cause the seams of the box turned red.
The antifreeze was used only for it's blacklight reactive properties.
Do you think it's OK to put some back in? Have you heard of any reactions w/ marine goop?

    Too late!
Been runnin the rebuilt version for a few weeks now.
    No problems whatsoever.

I might try to put some antifreeze in it to see how it works but I'm just too lazy.
