I just ordered one of these

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/products/module.asp?CartID=030324150409142&moduleno=35038&modulecode=

and I know my dad always told me never to plug extention leads or double adaptors into each other but I would like the 3 remote control sockets to control

    1. My two Monitors
    2. 2 sets of PC speakers
    3. My printer and my scanner

So my question is will my house burn down if I just plug one of thoes little block double adapotors into each of remote control the sockets in strip??

EDIT - I'm sure I just posted this in electronics.... can some one move it for me... cheers :sigh:

You should be fine, these items don't draw much current. You would get problems if you had a couple of electric radiators and an electric oven on it.
I think in the UK 2 way adaptors are fused so this will add some more protection.

As Moo says, there's not much danger with the low loading from a few computer peripherals. The real danger with a bunch of adaptors all plugged into one socket is that the thing wobbles about and you get lousy contacts, overheating and interference, even if you don't overload the socket. You can always plug an ordinary socket strip into a channel if you want to add even more.

Looks useful, especially at Sale price. :D

Well.. where i live wi have 240 v system.. and to even be allowed to use such equipment they have to be able to handle 10 amps..

if you'r comp. starts to draw 10 amps it's time to turn off SOME of those neon lamps..
