We went to the cabin last weekend. I brought along a hunk of metal from the scrap bin in my welding class. It is 1.5 inches thick, or 38 mm. The .50 cal AP rounds went through it like it was butter. This target was shot from around 75 yards away. Over all It was a fun weekend minus the rain. Enjoy.
Location: Columbus, Ohio He's American, the bleeders get all kinds of wicked firearms over there... It's the only thing I do envy about US Citizens. They have the ability to go to a store and go "hmmm... that M4A1 Carbine and 300 rounds of ammo please". .50 Anti-Mat rounds are truly scary pieces of kit. I think the US Army has started teaching their guys that hitting people with that kind of firepower is considered an act of overkill... ... and it's truly scary.
Wowzer, when you hitting the British embassy then? I jest of course, I'd love the opportunity to mess about with stuff like this. clay pigeon shooting is the closest I've managed . What did you fire these out of?
Quote - "The M82A1 is known for US Military as the SASR - "Special Applications Scoped Rifle",and it was and still is used as an anti-materiel weapon and EOD (explosive ordnance disposal) tool. The long effective range along with high energy and availability of highly effective ammunition such as API and Raufoss M213 allows for effective operations against targets like radar cabins, trucks, parked aircrafts and soon. M82 also can be used to defeat enemy snipers or criminals from stand off range or when targets are behind the cover, but the anti-personnel work is not a major application for Barrett M82 (or any other .50BMG rifle, for that matter)." I say not intended, the only reason it is legal as such is technically it is for use against vehicles etc... Technically...
Oh, I'm coming to Findlay for two weeks on Wednesday to see the g.f, whats the weather like at the moment??
Fantastic xD. That's "pretty cold"? To me that's verging on too hot. It was 15C here today and I was regretting wearing a hoody, had to go down to T-shirt since I was too hot walking to Uni. Now -5..that's pretty cold edit: Also, know what kind of rifle that is? The lower receiver and stock look as if they're completely modeled on the AR-15. Yet obviously there must have been some modifications to the barrel and bolt if the thing's firing half inch rounds.
