ok then what should i do?!?!?! my sys is running at a constant 50 degs i have a coolermaster silent heatsink+fan running at an average 2500rpm on my AMD athlon 2600+ FuzzyLogic and PCAlert which came with my MSI KT4V motherboard and i need to know if i am in any danger of losing the whole lot as one of my friends told me i am losing transistors at a rate of 1 every two hours which would decrease performance noticably soon.... oh yeah my clock speed is 2.29Ghz and my FSB is at 179 and i have thermal grease between the heatsink and the processor:)

The key word there is silent. Quiet fans normally run at around that speed, possibly slightly lower. My coolermaster 80mms run at 2400rpm.

I know that 50C is fine for a palomino core, they have a maximum temperature of 90C I believe. I'm not so sure on T-Breds, but I assume 50 is ok.

yes you're ok. without OC and with stock hts, you would get in the 50's so it's good
