    Just a quick heads up:

PLEASE don't overlook this movie as some stupid rom com! It's a great, genuinely funny (in a witty and intelligent way, no stupid poncing slapstick!) and fun movie that'll leave you grinning like a moron.

The best way I can sum up this movie is to get you to think of Sandra Bullock, Hugh Grant, and Jennifer Lopez, AND SHOOT THEM. That's what this movie does.

Also: Zooey Deschanel is awesome, as is the dude (Who was also in Brick, which YOU NEED TO SEE.)

OK, there we go. Should even out some of the scifi geekery in here.

PS: great throwback to Ferris Bueller in there too!

    Holy crap, I'm getting there!

To be honest though the film had my interest already from the trailers and music, I must check though - what's tone of the ending? I could really do with not going to see a film that has a stupid fairytale happiness ending...

WELL! Without giving too much away it does a very good job of misdirection. Everything the trailer says is also true.

It is NOT a romantic comedy. It's a comedy about romance - people's idea of it, mostly.

It so was, wasn't it? I actually scared a lot of people into NOT seeing it at work due to my insane fanboy rantings about it. I need to learn to keep my mouth shut. In any case: HMV are currently selling it on blu ray for a tenner, which is a bargain if i ever saw one.

Went to a free screening and loved the movie which is unusual as I'm prone to sleeping through Romcoms. The plot was well written and the twist was a punch to the gut. Very strong on emotion without the rose tinted specs. Go watch it.

I'm going to go see it for Zooey Deschanel alone, she is so damn hot, plus it looks like a good film.

She was in weeds for a bit. I was sad when she left.

I went with a friend the other day (there was only 2 or 3 others guys in the whole screen, so I felt really outnumbered, lol). I wasn't expecting it to be good, but it was funny in parts and the ending was quite good.
