Yep but it will be mobile/low end chips first. Of course nothing is guaranteed but I reckon it will be at least 4 months before we see the new high end cards.
yes to both of u, but according to the rumours, they're coming a lot faster than Nvidia's... ...which also will start with Keppler 600 (mobile/low end) in Q2 2012 and 700 in Summer (which ends up in retail shelves around this time of next year). compared to AMD which supposedly get the desktop/performance out by Q1 2012, Q2 to hit shelves. of course, its all speculation for now
HD6870 for £130ish or HD6850 for £100ish. With some overclocking both should tide you over nicely. This GTX565* is stupidly priced. £40 more than a similar performance HD6950 and in some cases MORE expensive than the faster GTX570.... WTF *I am calling it by its "correct" name.
VR-Zone have a preliminary NVidia Desktop Graphics Roadmap They also published some details of the HD 7000M which they say will be out in December, "following NVIDIA's GeForce 600M launch". So it looks like NVidia are releasing 600 series mobile gpus in December and then over the next year will be releasing gradually more powerful cards. AMD are following them with the mobile gpus, with no mention so far (that I have found) relating to HD 7000 desktop timing. Additionally, it looks like AMD will be rebadging some HD6000 cards and calling them HD7000 cards, at least for low end cards.
AMD having an event next monday. http://vr-zone.com/articles/report-amd-radeon-hd-7000-presentation-on-december-5th/14091.html if they can release desktop radeon7000 in Q1 2012, then nvidia got a lot to catch up.
