I'm currently running an OC'ed MSI 560ti on a Corsair CX 500 no worries.

I assume the 560Ti draws less than the 470, in which cas yes it's absolutely fine. My system with the 470 drew about 400W max; now with the 460 it draws 375W (furmark).

Easily, my system doesn't draw more than 380 from the wall when gaming, which is 323W from the PSU @85% efficiency. That is with an overclocked system.

A 560TI draws 170w, so you'll be ok with a good 500W PSU unless you want to go SLI.

i read on the nvidia website that the minimum system power requirements for the gtx 560 ti is 500w. my psu has a maximum of 460w, so are you saying that i am able to use a gtx 560 ti even though my psu's max power is lower than the minimum recommended by nvidia?

its all about the quality of the psu

you could run something on a high quality 500w than wouldnt run on a low quality 650w.

perhaps an exaggeration but you get the idea. if its a reputable brand you should be fine for that card

Funnily enough I just ran my signature rig through one of these and it tops around 450 watts with extreme stress on all components. Looking forward to the next series of GPU decimating my PSU for a real test! :D

awesome thanks. Thinking of using Evgas step up program to get a 560ti after seeing the performance difference on the review

If you ran stressed all your components at the same time you would likely reach 460w if not more, causing the computer to switch off. but for general gaming use 460W would be enough, but it's nice to have the extra headroom so your psu will last longer.

It really depends on the maker of the PSU. But unless you got some OurPSUBlowsUnderLoad brand PSU, then your 460W should be just fine. My GTX570+i7-2600K uses 400W tops (MSI Kombustor+OCCT at same time).
