Built a new rig 2600K, Asus P67 deluxe etc. W7/64 and an MSI 570GTX-M2D12D5. On running the disk that came with it (the MSI disk) it runs and then gives me a message saying can't find hardware found that matches the disk/that will work with the disk, and it doesn't then give me the option of loading the driver from the disk. Is this normal?

When I look at the details of the screen/card by right-clicking the screen area and looking at properties, it says "generic screen device" and standard VGA card...

Anyone come across this before? Suggestions??? Am going to try and download the driver from the MSI site but just surprised that this has happened.

I'd not worry about it and download the latest driver from the Nvidia website.

In all my life I've never installed the driver that comes supplied with a GPU.

Yep, same here, they're out of date as soon as the lables are printed on the discs. There should be a couple newer drivers since the 570 was launched anyway.
