Hmm, according to several hardware monitors, me mobo is telling me that the chip is sitting at a mean 57/133. I'm using a SI-97 on a 2500+ @ 2.58 (12x215, 1.85V, 120W). Yet somehow i dont believe it when i can press my fingers to the base of the sink and keep them there noticing only minor discomfort. Oh, and the air coming off this thing is being promptly sucked off by the PSU's 92mm, or the rear 80 twins. That air IS fairly hot. Anyway, for the most part if it's saying 57, yet it's stable for a few hours of gaming and entire days of massive loads, then i think me motherboard's sensor is bollocks. time to rig me up a thermal probe...

Working on a comp for my little brother, according to the bios, the CPU core is 127C/4 F  but the next reading is CPU surface, I forget what it was, but it was reasonable so I'm not worried. So yeah, don't take the bios/onboard stuff too seriousley.

Exactly how hot is the base of the sink? If its too hot to hold your finger on then thats ~ right
If its stable though, then just ignore the temps tbh...

well the reason i do care is that i dont want to toast my mobile. Granted, i'm thankful i dont have a desktop chip. would need about 2.1V for these clocks, and there is no way the SI-97 can handle 150 watts.
