Also what i found. Running it at 1900x1200 was fine before the dx11 patch and hi-res. But after installing that it started to slowdown. Now it runs like silk again. I'm gona have to fraps it to see the frame rate difference.
im curious if i get another 570 twin frozr 3 if i will need to watercool. can't imagine i would given the low temps these cards run at....guess i could google it...
Just done a fraps run, Single averaging about 40fps Sli averaging about 70fps lol in the menu screen 4815 fps honestly the difference is fantastic
I also enjoy doing the work, but the difference in noise is also fantastic. The wifes laptop is louder!
Wooo Hooo. Just got all my watercooling goodies in the post. 1x DD block copper on chrome (looks sweet) 6ft tygon 1/2" tubing DD cross-sli kit elbow fitting. Looking forward to getting it all fitted.... And back to silence. Will be posting pics as i go
I cant help but notice in your very high end gaming rig there you have the same shitty creative speakers that i do, which i brought for about £40 5 years ago. What the hell? A setup like that deserves some decent speakers to really immerse yourself!
The speakers on the desk? They are Logitec 530's. I have them myself but after upgrading from 2 hi-fi combo systems set up in 4.0, I found that although the Logitecs had a pleasant sound with a decent enough sub for the price range, they were lacking in the mids where a lot of the detail resides. For example, in the Lord of the Rings, when Aragorn goes to get the help of the undead and the whole place starts to collapse, I could hear the skulls falling around everywhere with my 4.0 setup, but with the Logitecs I didn't feel as immersed. So I doubled up my speakers, bought an identical Wharfedale combo for the rear to match my (ex 4.0) front speakers and used the one speaker in the Hitachi that wasn't crackling for my center so now I have 11 speakers producing glorious sound (I'd remove the Logitec satellites if I could but the volume and power knob is on the front right), and all for under £150 Wharfedale combo's: around 40 each, Logitec 5.1: £50 in half price sale, Hitachi freely donated as CD player didn't work It's also quite handy as I can just up the center speaker's volume via the knob on the Hitachi if voices are to low in films.
