Great specs, STUNNING internals but a truly ugly case. My folks would beat me black n blue if I ever made something that looked even half as disgusting.

Someone ask Kobalt to fab a custom chassis for this bad boy :D

I like the insides, not keen on the case at all.

If you're referring to the Cryo PC (which also used the Corsair Airflow) then it was noisy because Cryo PC didn't reduce the speed of the incredibly unpleasant fans. In contrast, Scan plugged the Airflow into the motherboard, and used the BIOS to reduce the speed of the fans to stop them shrieking.

The inside pic looks very smart, well engineered. The motherboard next to all the water cooling bits looks cool.

In the Cryo the fan was described as Ghastly, no mention was made of the remedy for this, only in the Scan piece was the 'fix' given. I have the old Corsair ram cooler and that is noisy, my only thought why Cryo didn't alter the speed may be the same reason there isn't much point altering the speed on the old Corsair ram cooler, that being by the time you get rid of all the noise, the thing moves about as much air as a domino falling over.

Of course we didn't mention a fix - we were reviewing (and thus describing) how Cryo PC had chosen to configure its PC. If we were writing a guide on how to make the most of the Corsair Airflow, then it would be relevant, but not in the review of a commerical PC.

BTW, the new cooler is considerably more unpleasant to look at than the older model (I have one in several of my PCs).

i havent seen one dream pc yet. not only that, the pcs using tecs are doing so in the most inefficient way possible; hardly worthwhile, and very costly.

I actually like it. It could be better, I admit, but atleast it was a lot better than the others.

judge it by its weakest component...£10,000 on a pc, uber pc, and the monkeys use a tiny fan ram cooler = epic fail imo. all those loops and all the watercooling and they couldnt stretch for an extra £50 for a MIPS ram cooler...ha

I admit that the internals are stunning but all the front of the case reminds me of is that tanned implant old lady from the demotivational thread LOL. Truly and ugly case.

I can appreciate applying more focus to the interior, but their exterior is very subjective to personal taste.

Nice technical specs tough if I had one I sure as hell would ask Scan to make something less garish.

I just want to know what the hell Scan were thinking when they went for Quad SLI - it does NOT WORK!!! Give me the triple SLI in the Beast Cerberus anytime.

Actually, if Beast could upgrade the memory, CPU and hard drives to Scan's offerings and do the same trick with the RAM cooler, even if they couldn't get quite the same overclocks, theirs would be the machine I would get. If only I could afford it...

To me, minimalism is preferable to garishness. Though Scan's White Cobra was nice. Not quite as tacky.
