i was looking at the 2405fpw and one of my main arguements against it is 'how the hell is the graphics card going to run games on this at native res with good enough eye candy.

If i looked at this one i can see sli 7800GTX 512s struggling to run that res.

But for photoshop and viewing media content i would absolutely love it... shame about the price.

Even if they introduced it at £1000 i would still be like :( cause its out of my price range.

Awesome peice of kit, would love to see it in action in front of me.

I personally love the design of this monitor over the apple.

    It'll support Xbox 360 anyway. It's just a monitor.

LOL, how long's it been since Apple intro'd the 30" cinnie display? Welcome to the party, Dell!

Still want one... I like the design and the black matches my pc better than the "don't touch me or sneeze near me" apple white.

As long as it has the inputs of the 24", I'm interested. Of course, it'll mean I *need* a 7800GT/X as it'll require dual-link DVI at that resolution.

If Wil is looking to sneak one back, he'd better get a BIG suitcase! We've got a 32" widescreen tube-TV, and even if it was an inch think, it certainly wouldn't fit in any but the biggest of boxes with handles. Even my 2005fpw came in a box fit for a small computer case; I'd imagine the 30" will come in a box akin to that my v2000 came in (read: freakin' huge, ~ 2'x2'x10")

If I know Wil, he would willingly give it his passport and check it in to coach class on the plane swimming the Atlantic himself in just a string vest with a pack of peanuts for food.

    Only has a DVI-D input :(
Still has the media reader and USB ports though.

I think a 32" LCD-TV with HD Resolution is cheaper....

I have a 42" LG plasma (1280x1024) and it looks stuning connected to the pc and that one cost about 2500euro. And it is a resolution the videocard can work at. The 1080i and 720p trailers from apple also looks awesome on it.

It is just my point of view peeps....
