I hear that! A lot of people (like any forum) feel the need to contribute to every thread they have something to say in even if its utterly pointless. "omg nice project" - at the first page of a log with only a pic of a case in it. I usually look around FS, motors and GD these days.
I wasn't going to post for this exact reason, but am somehow now compelled to mention this is the exact reason my post count is so low. I make posts when I have something useful to say or questions to ask, but mostly I sit back and read.
4 1/2 years for me, lurked for ages before signing up (back when OCS was around haha!) gone are the days when i have time to read and eventually post on bit dont have time for anything anymore *self pity* is the irc chan still kicking about? used to be top abuse stakes on there with kameleon and hazza betting whether kam would drop out of uni again rofl
Nearly 4 years here, although I'm very much a lurker - on most days but do very little posting. Good to see bit still going strong after 6 years, not many websites can say that.
About 3.5 years for me now. Maybe a few more months ontop of that lurking. I think it was Macroblack that originally prompted my to sign up.
Can someone tell me why they lurk before signing up? I tend to sign up at a forum as quick as possible if I enjoy reading it
I do also these days, but in the past few years I often opted out of signing up through sheer lazyness.
Ive no idea how long ive been here, a few years, as I rember joining in my Alevels, and im now finishing my second year of uni..... The interweb owes me my life back...
Me too, but wierdly I've become slightly loathing of the random spam traps everywhere these days... I might make a Mini Comeback for old time's sake sometime.. I wouldn't call it stalking... more... secret friendship..
The right-hand side ones annoy me a treat, they're so intrusive and sometimes end up slap bang in images in posts
