Main use Playing runescape watching movies and shows 3d modeling a little here and there web I was thinking if i could find a good laptop cheaper then i can get an A-pad for 150 so about 400-600 dollars im willing to spend i mean the cheaper the better i will even do used new referbed idc i will even do fleabay!
What graphics card/dedicated graphics chip does it have? Reading that spec it does not sound like it will play any games other than off facebook/java ones.. http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/reviews/index.cfm?reviewid=3224016 The above review describes it as a business laptop with a intel onboard GMA graphics...so you may struggle gaming wise here....you need to be careful when selecting a laptop especially if you have gaming in mind, i made that mistake buying top of the range laptop 4/5 years ago not realising it came with intergrated graphics meaning anything that game that had a hint of 3D i could not touch no matter how good the other specs of it were CPU/RAM wise... Budget wise the best i could see with a dedicated ATI Mobility RadeonHD4250 graphics card was this one from dell for $530. http://www.dell.com/us/p/inspiron-15-m5030/pd?oc=dndohv1&model_id=inspiron-15-m5030
Well thats what runescape is its a java based game been playing it for years and mayb mind craft right now im using an old Toshiba haha
Well if your not planning to play anything else that is 3D intensive really then it should be fine choosing one that does not have a dedicated graphics card and the one you are looking at should be fine.
i was thinking i do very little 3d modeling but alot of downloading should 4gb of ram b good or should i go for 8??
I would not waste a dime on a HP laptop. They are rubbish laptops. I was debating myself between an Acer and a Toshiba. Mainly these two models. Acer Toshiba I went with the Acer because I wanted something lite and small. I have not received it yet, so if its not what I am looking for I am going to get the Toshiba instead and give that a go. Buy and try I say!
$ or £?? I got this and ist great but probably a little overkill for you: http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/17587...pe=allproducts&searchsource=0&urlrefer=search even this one would be more then powerful enough plus you get much better build quality then the others mentioned: http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/16698...pe=allproducts&searchsource=0&urlrefer=search (cores)@(speed) Mobility Radeon HD 4570 80@680MHz Mobility Radeon HD 4550 80@550MHz
Didnt realize you wanted total cost to be $600+ all taxes and s/h. So here is a Lenovo that should add up to around $600 total. I was debating on this one as well. I figured around a 5.5% tax and around $7-9 for shipping. Also if you have any issue you can return it to any Walmart store around the area (if one is close to you can have it shipped to that store for free too).
