Hello, i am almost finished with the watercooling of my pc, but after i installed the NV-68 waterblock on my BFG 6800 GT OC and put it in the AGP slot on my mobo, it seems as if it's bending. Here's a pic:

Is this even a problem? Im just worried it's adding stress to the mobo or the card.
    Thanks

Several people have noted this with the NV68 and NV70 blocks. Just use a small support such as an acrylic rod to take the load either between the corner of the card and the bottom of the case or between the block and the base of your case.

If the block was 7 kg's or so I would suggest a support of some sorts, like Awoken suggested. But The block won't snap the card off the mobo at all. All circuit boards are durable for that kind of abuse

You could always pull a Nexxo too (see project Metaversa).

Do similar to what pookeyhead did. Acrylic rod. (Old cathode tube I believe)
    Better safe than sorry ;)

Aluminum (in this case 3/8") rod works well too, is easy to drill/tap and readily available at home improvement/hardware stores...

or just let it bend the metarinka way, My old geforce 4 bent a considerable amount, both like yours and its also bent sideways out of the slot, haven't' noticed any problem from it

Yeah, I agree, my 6600GT's bending more than that and it's perfectly stable. Circuit boards are made of tough stuff, they're now using it to scale knives.

Nice fix though, it does look a lot better :thumb:

Heheheh... I like how certain mods or solutions get associated with people...

Almost like Martial art moves: "Way of the furious mod"... "Path of the swift Overclock" :D

You just have too support it in the corner.

with a trianangle in the corner with a "geleider" that supports the card.
