my m8 has a 6800gt and want to invest in SLI. i was just wondering if he could use an XT with his GT seeing as the GT seems to have vanished from the face of the earth.
Yup I believe so. Tell him he'd be better off selling his gt and buying a 7800gt. Cheaper and better...I think
Wellt he 6800XT uses 12 pixel pipes VS the GT with all 16 pixelpipes used thus these cards are differant (models) so you probably can't use them in SLi. Also as said he's probably better off selling the GT and getting a 7800 GT (my mate did this last week, the 6800 GT's sell like hot cakes on eBay) Hope this helps -Fr4nk
