    1080p is a fickle bitch. You like to watch everything in 1080p but you hate to store everything in 1080p

    MDPC-X order just placed =)

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    Need i say more? =) MDPC-X order placed today, looking "forward" to starting with the sleeving, also!

    Let me introduce! The Mist 800w PSU, that will be the victim of this sleeve operation 0.o

    [IMG]
    The mist came along in one of those shiny carboard boxes...

    [IMG]
    Would call the packageing more then adequate :p

    [IMG]
    Modularity! its a shame thats its going to be re-sleeved, cus a awesome job is allready done tbh 0.o

    [IMG]
    Nothing much to say about the appearance, but hey, its a truly low db 140mm fan on it ^^

    [IMG]
    Again, enough space for a bunch of cables and variety

    [IMG]
    And the tech sheet...

    MDPC has the highest quality sleeving out of any brand I've used so far. Nice to see you didn't go cheap on the small things :thumb:

    Just ordered a MDPC Sleeve kit aswell, just did some math and figured that is just werent enough sleeves that ive ordered ^^ so another bunch is coming in addition :

    * 30 meter SMALL-Sleeve (black)
    * 3 meter ultra-thin-walled SMALL-Heatshrink 4:1 (black)
    * 5 meter SATA-Sleeve (black)
    * 0.7 meter SATA-Heatshrink 3:1 (black)
    * 2 meter BIG-Sleeve (black)
    * 0.3 meter BIG-Heatshrink 3:1 (black)
    * 0.2 meter JUMBO-Heatshrink 2:1 (black)

    Small question here though guys, anyone have a opinion on how mana SATA drives i can fit on a single power rail according to the tech sheet on the PSU? can i do a single cable with 16 drives on it ? 0.o

    Very cool top of the line build! I am watching.

    BTW, if you need any Solidworks help, feel free to ask. I can do some stuff with that program.

    Ooooh, solidworks man ^^

    If you like... could you please figure out how a 140mm fan would measure out, regards to holes and stuff? :p Ive found quite a few models of 120mm fans, but no 140 0.o

    add me!

    Awesome PSU. What company makes the Mist branding? Or are they their own company?

    Well I meant more something like "I have a drawing could you help me model it".

    But there are several websites offering a lot of free Solidworks models, but I guess you've already tried that.

    You could also go to a manufacturers website, and try to get the technical data. Some of the manufacturers offer those. Its a bit of a gamble though to trust that kind of data, or any downloaded model for that matter. Specially when you are going to laser cut the holes for the fans, you better get the product you are going to use, and just measure that thing. That way you are sure everything fits.

    And we have started!

    Hi guys!

    After alot of talk, and little progress, its time to start showing off some results, aint it ? i received my aluminium this Monday, and have been working for quite a few hours allready, the first part of this build is more or less assembled allready, and im now working on the next case to go on top of it...

    But enough blabbering ^^

    Lets get on with some images, shall we? unfortunatily, the first 3 days of work has been deleted from the CF card (thx dad) -.- so had to retake alot of em today

    [IMG]
    God i love CNC machines... this is basically the first frame with the frontplate facing the top, just got those holes drilled up ^^

    [IMG]

    [IMG]
    One part semi assembled, the other one not really touched :p

    [IMG]
    I decided early on to use countersunk bolts on this build... cus... uhm... it looks cool? haha, basically 8mm m6 bolts that suited to go trough 2 4mm alu plates, also got a countersinking tap now!

    [IMG]
    And yes... i know it needs some brushing.... and andonizing...

    So lets talk about the rack for now? 0.o

    It consist of 2 plates, with some alu in between, and vibration insulation on the top, to prevent this build to make to much noise 0.o

    I see lots of scythe gentle typhoons are needed for the front due to the massive cfm and low dba rating :thumb:
