I have 2x EVGA 8800GTS 512 got them second hand One card does not show anything when it's connected alone by it self. The PC boots up just fine as if nothing happened but I have no display. The only use I can get out of this card if I put it in SLi Mode as secondary card. And it works with out bugs. And there is a definite performance increase. When I checked what BIOS is has, it says Vendor "nVidia" when it should be "EVGA" I copied the BIOS from the fully functioning card and Flashed it on to the card with no Display. But if I put into the computer by itself still no display. As long as it's working in SLi it doesn't really bother me, but would nice to get some answers or suggestions. 1. Is it normal for a GFX build by EVGA to have nVidia BIOS? Does it ever happen. 2. Any Ideas why it won't display? 3. Is there a way to test if that DVI Plug is broken or something? 4. Do you think its safe to overclock both cards?
