I've gotten an offer for my X1900XTX for $300 CAD (it's not bad, since I bought the card for around that), and I can buy a 8800GTS for $500 CAD.

Good idea? The performance of the X1900XTX is definitely not lacking, but I'm concerned about DX10.

You're X1900XTX dosent have DX 10. But if you're buying a 8800 just for DX 10 then you might aswell wait for games that have DX 10 to come out before you buy one.
That way you would get much more for you're buck.

:thumb: I agree. Considering the 8800GTS isn't a whole lot faster than X1900XTX all you'd really be gaining for C$200 is DX10 hardware and there's no need to jump for that at the mo. Wait a few months and see what else nVidia release (and how ATi finally respond).

Going by certain reviews I've seen(on a certain competitor UK review site begining with the letter H) the XTX is actually a fair bit faster in quite a few games than the 8800GTS. Hold on to it and wait untill DX10 is actually out and doing stuff before changing cards imo.
