Considering getting an AquaTube but the tubing I will be using is 10mm. Where can I get 8mm to 10mm quick (push) fit connector adapters or something like that?

You can order the aquatubes with barbs that will fit your 10mm tubing rather than the 8mm push fittings...

Will the stiff quick fit tube be ok on barbs?

probably not, especially since they are usually measured as 10mm outer diameter, and the 10mm barbs will be 3/8" barbs for 10mm/3/8" inner diameter tubing.

Though I might be wrong on this.

You should contact Wizard Designs, the owner of the site PUG is a member of the forums and there has been quite a lot of discussion on here about the aquacool fittings....

Anyway he'll be able to tell you exactly what options are open to you..... the only probem with the aquatube res' is that even the 10mm barbs have an I/D of about 6mm at the narrowist point so they're quite restritive, which is a problem if you use a particularly powerful pump. I am currently considering drilling (or finding someone to drill them for me :D ) out the existing barb holes on my res to put standard 3/8" barbs on it.... but if you're using 8mm tubing nayway that shouldn't be a problem.

Pug knows his kit inside out and will be able to answer most if not all of your questions

@8-Ball - on checking the sight again, you're right, I thought there were some smaller ones available for some reason... maybe pug mentioned it to me.....

I don't mean to be rude, but you won't be getting good results from your white water if you are using it with push fittings.

They are designed to be used with 1/2" tubing (ID! not OD)

Jetset, I have sent you a mail re: your mail. You can have first goes if you want it, if not I'll put it on the forum. I still have all the barbs anyway so it can be converted back if wanted.
