Hey all I'm just wondering if these even exist, My current PSU ( stupid FSP) has a incredibly short 8pin ATX 12v cable So I cant properly rout the cables behind my Motherboard and the atx wire goes right across my GPU and comes quite close to my CPU heatsink, also means I cant get a decent CPU cooler yet Any idea wither it would be cheaper to make my own, extend the actual PSU cable or just buy one from somewhere?
I got mine in maplins for something like 4 euro. Scan have them aswell http://www.scan.co.uk/products/akas...ension-cable-(30cm)-(end-to-end)-ak-cb8-8-ext 3.20 pounds. Not worth the effort of making one yourself TBH. Extending the wire would involve opening up the PSU and voiding your warranty.
This is a pack that includes an ATX extension but is the other cable in there what you're looking for? clicky Edit: Or maybe the one suggested by mr speedy poster there.
I actually got mine in PC World Sleeved it all though in MDPC UV Green, looks pretty, although all you can see of it is about 5cm, the other 15cm is hidden in the cabling cavity in the case
Large cases often come with extension cables for the ATX power. My Cosmos S and Corsair 800D both came with them.
i've got a xigmatek midgard, unfortunately it didnt come with one found one at chilled pc for £4 delivered, presleved too which is handy, cheers for the advice guys
