    system 1- vista 32 bit, 4 gigs ram, 9800gt OC 680 (core) 6000x2 cpu
    system 2-XP - 2 gigs ram 9600gso oc 600 (core) and a 3500athlon..

both are folding the same project at the moment (one that goes up to 2000)..
before i left for breakfast, the 9600gso was on 560, new one was on 940..
came back old one was at 1100 (increase of 540) and new one was 1380 (increase of 440)..

to me that doesnt seem right.. the gso getting 100 "points" more? :jawdrop:

cool and quiet is disable and i wasnt running anything else on any systems..
    any ideas?

The 9600 GSO is a very cost effective GPU for folding, but that doesn't right. Have you checked in something like FahMon what the actual ppd of each GPU is?

i.e. are you sure each GPU is really running a WU worth the same number of points (not stages) from the same project. Unless they are it's not an accurate/fair comparison.

It may be down to the difference between XP and Vista.
