Since buying this card I have upgraded both my motherboard and PSU to make things run better.. since day 1 of installing the card I have being having all sorts of problems and the final outcome is that the only gain i have really had is a few 1000 points in 3dmark. My system is far more unreliable, untrustworthy and overall worse than it was when I had an fx5200 and a cheap motherboard.

Im on the very brink of sending everything back and going back to my old rig, and i think next time ill think again before spending £200 on components that actually reduce the reliability of my system. :sigh:

Have you reformatted and started again? Youve got a serious driver problem somewhere - agp drivers and/or registry problems and/or radeon CAT driver problems.

Ive formatted everytime ive added a new component, tried loads of the catalyst drivers but in the end what it comes down to is - with this card im having to fiddle to get things stable, where as with my old setup i didnt have to do anything and it ran fine. Thats what cheeses me off more than anything else.

Sounds a little like human error, no offence. The 9800 Pro has been running long enough to run it smoothly... Try killing things before you run the benchmarker, like found here, its on the top

Theres no problems with my benchmark score, read the post please. I am merely stating my annoyance at the amount of fiddling im having to do to get things working.
