    My budget is $300.
    I have found a sapphire 9800 pro and a BFG 6800 OC.
Is there anything better for this price limit?
Which is better, tht 9800 or 6800(non GT)?

6800 is a bit better at just about everything.

6800 vs 9800pro is no contest. Go with the 6800.

9800pro is previous generation, 6800 is low end current generation.

    For example:
    http://www.firingsquad.com/hardware/far_cry_1.3_midrange/page16.asp

    Far Cry b1.4 benchmarks:
    Volcano 2xAA/8xAF 1024*768
    9800pro: 44.2 (respectable)
    Geforce 6800: 76.6 (Sweet)

To do Half Life 2 or Doom 3 comparisons you'll have to cobble together 2 diferent review (sorry dont have the time to do that here), follow this linky: http://www.firingsquad.com/hardware/

    And scroll down to hardware.

Id take the 6800, aside from the fact ure getting the latest gen so offering far better future proofing over the older model radeon.. The 6800's can be softquad to a quadro 4000 ( if ure into 3d modelling and all that shaz, however it might only be the PNY version which works, afaik the softquad is undergoing beta testing now ).

    Proph.

The 6800 with total, utter ease. The 9800 pro is last generation's high end card. The 6800 is a much more powerful card, with shader model 3.0 support, and a super powerful GPU.

One more thing must be considered though. Unless you have an AGP 8X slot, you cant run a 6800 card.

    That's news to me...

The GeForce 6800 is quite a bit faster than a GeForce 6600GT in most applications, but in some instances, the GeForce 6600GT comes very close. The GeForce 6600GT beats off the Radeon 9800 Pro fairly easily... the only proble is image quality in NFSU2, which I am about to re-evaluate.
