Should I paint also the mesh in black?

    I'd like to mod my speakers.

    I need to chance this middle part and remade it from plexi and put 2 leds to it.

    What I've done so far:
    I've done the holes for the elements, but nothing more! Just the holes.

    The light effect. I used my mobilephone white led to show how it looks :) (the ultra bright blue leds and the other stuff haven't arrived yet :/ )

    I need still to buy new black covers and steel plates and wait for the electronics and of course do the other holes.

    edit. I asked before this thread about power so you can read the comments here about it.

    cool but i would think you would run them off a more constant source like the wall

    Try and get the led's in the speaker running off a sound activator (so they flash according to the beat) That would definately be cool.

    yeah you can probably take the circuit from a noise activated cold cathode

    you could always put it on a switch so if you have a friend over you can show off

    eeh... being very busy :D I'm sure that I'm gonna finnish this mod next week on holiday.

    Just a little update.

    I don't wanna use the batteries :hehe: I just take the power from molex.

    Just a little update :)

    I bougth black USB cable and tomorrow I'm gonna add the resistor and do rest of the holes to the plexis.

    And I'm sorry that I haven't updated this project, but I've had some troubles in school :duh: (not a good reason though :D ).

    Great idea man. What does the comp look like that these are plugged in to? I assume that the themes match?

    edit: just looked, and indeed they do match, good job

    I painted the steelplates and this is how they look (F*** awfull web-cam :wallbash: .. it looks _so_ much better in nature :sigh: ).

    BTW. _Please_ lett me know is I should paint the mesh also in black :rolleyes: But it's quite stylish like it's right now.. black and krome together :p
