Are you going to airbrush the fullcover backplate too or the complete block (if you should choose one with a acetal top)?
I have vid-card envy. Those things look as thick as video-bricks with those fans attached. It'll be nice to see them water cooled.
Why not a Nickelplated EK waterblock? I hear you can buy a used one cheap! *cough* Btw, beautifull job on that frikkin mobo cover!
Ahh Super Sculpey is fun This Holiday weekend allowed me to forge forward! HD cover mounted, tried 5mm Green LEDs, but I'm thinking White would be better. Black sleeving, http://www.mnpctech.com/PC_Cable_Wire_Sleeving_Kit.html White LEDS instead!
Playing catch up for the whole build here. Really great work done so far, The tubing layout on the mobo cover is just awesome vision Bill
Really looking like quite a beast now , still loving that hdd case & should be a quick task to see if white does look better although the green looks good too .
Ok, I like the HDD cover, but as AngelOD said earlier, there's a reason why HDDs are assembled in clean-rooms. Aren't you afraid of the HDD malfunctioning after a while? Oh, and while the contrast between the HDD frame and the black chassis is probably what you aimed for, I think it would look better if anodized black. Just my 5 cents.
Thanks for the comments guys! I don't endorse modding HDs, but it's fun. I may just stay with Green LEDs. I'm short on any spare White 5mm LEDs atm. I mounted the two I&H 225 Reservoirs on the bezel, which now looks very "Trek" on it's own fyi: Ian Hall made these reservoirs by hand and it appears he stopped them. I couldn't find them in stock anywhere. Dropped him a message other day, to see whats up?
Ok, this looks very good - but I'm a tad confused. You mentioned earlier this year that you were going to mount the I&H reservoirs to the "handlebar-esque" feet - what changed?
niiiiccceeeee reminds me of the starship enterprise d, in battle mode, when the saucer section was detached
Haha, Thanks guys! I dig it too. @Mads, You're right, but after experimenting, I decided like this even better
