Sub'd! Awesome stuff here, sorry to find this so late in the game. Great reading, I'll have to pour through this a few more times to let it all soak in! As mentioned by others, the how to vids have been a huge help! I have to ask this, What is that particular brand of CF I keep seeing your parts on? Aluminized fiber? (I first spotted it on NZXT "Phantom" review vid.) It's on my list of must have's for a build I'm planning. Can it be stained? Thanks and again awesome build! Sanding with small screwdriver, priceless :thumb:

Wow you can paint the tray? It doesn't ruin the disc? I had no idea...

unless you put loads of paint on it it wont, the disc isn't " laying" on the tray while spinning but it's on the spinning head and a magnet that hold the cd disc on the head

Thank you LooseNeutral :thumb: It's a 1 yard sheet of "Silver Texalium" carbon fiber from http://www.Solarcomposites.com
No idea if it can be stained, but you can ask them, The owner, Jon Soller is very good about answering questions.

@bobisgod, Remmes is right... and I plan to do a video guide on painting Optical drives for my YouTube channel later this month. (note to self, add this link to my sig)

@Remmes, thank you for the clarification :thumb:

Yesterday I noticed that the I/O panel MSI included for their Fuzion MB was Black.... That will stick out like a sore thumb..

...I also emailed MSI requesting if it possible to replace their N260GTX, Twin Frozr with RED PCB board with their N470GTX Twin Frozr II with Black PCB ...so it matches the MB... Maybe a lot to ask, but I've committed to the Fuzion color scheme as much as possible, so why skim over the small details if we can help it?!.... the ending results will be worth the wait

btw: in regards to bobisgod's question about painting the DVD tray and mucking up the disc... Here is a video demonstrating a disc spinning in an DVD drive

The Zalman fan controller arrived, so I can install that today... still need the OS from MSI.

@ Raiden, Thank you for tuning in and commenting :thumb:

Thnaks Ron! I'm currently sleeving more necessary cables while waiting for Aluminum and Blue paint to dry...lol

You betcha! There is hope, MSI upgraded the build's memory to 8GB of OCZ's Triple channel "Blade" 1600 series after I asked a few weeks ago.

SHaWeet! MSI's doing some great things for some peeps lately. It's really good to see a major player help out the modders. I think they'll get a lot of swing voters. The long list of goods deeds from mnpctech abound as well!

Not only the good deeds will get them voters, their gear is awesome as well. I have been using an MSI board in one of my older rigs for 4 years now, I have been through 2 DFI boards, a Gigabyte board and an ASUS board in that same time frame (all in different PCs of course), on average those boards only lasted around 18 months with only the DFI boards being overclocked with.

MSI is excited and they've been great to work with. My goal is to produce a kick ass video of the finished system for them. I hope more manufacturers take note and reach out to Modders in the community. I got tied up with another project and didn't get much of chance to work on this yesterday, but good news, and their new MSI N465 TwinFrozrII is en route to replace the 260 ..... Yay!
