Unfortunately, putting email addresses into images is not really a good way to stop spam.
Most spammers now have ways to harvest addresses displayed this way. Most captchas are easily broken. They can even read most addresses obfuscated by JavaScript, which is the method I'm currently using on my company's website.

    I hate spammers. :(

believe me- the image idea does little to stop the spam. All of us have images for our e-mails, and my bit mail is constantly stuffed with spam...usually stuff I can't even read.

The only way that works somewhat is to use forms, which never expose the email address. Unfortunately spammers can still dump text into those too. Spammers are winning the war.

I'm no expert on this, but wouldn't using css to bring in the image as a background image work? To the bot or whatver does the nasty there wouldn't be an image there as they trawl through to html code rather than the surface of the page or the css. I may be wrong.

Personally though, I have 3 email adresses, one is for spam and i rarely check it. the second is for normal use, i'll use it on sites I trust or for shopping or something the third is one that only my family know.
