I've been tired of the design on my Raidmax case for a long time now, and it's time to do something with it.

Sorry for my english, I hope it's understandable. :)

This was my almost standard Raidmax 868 case for about a year ago:

    Then the evolution:

The last months it has just looked like crap.

    The Plans

    Sketchup of the case:

This will hopefully be a case with good cooling and with clean design.

    Then to the work

Of course I need my computer during the project.

    A stripped Raidmax case:

    The front:

Some shopping done 2 steelplates and some other stuff.

I got 3x120mm fangrills for free from www.hcs-electronics.no.
    Thanks to them.

Front and back ready for cutting:

If you don't have the proper tool, you have to improvise. :)

The front is to short. :duh:
    I'm sure i will find a solution.

How are you going to hook the motherboard up? Other than that it looks like its gonna be great!

It's hard to explain, but easy to do.
I'm sorry, you just have to wait and see. :)

heh, it's a quite common name in Norway, and i can understand wy it's not common in Denmark, it sounds strange in danish.^^

The tilted motherboard has many functions:

    - Looks good
    - Big space at the back to hide wires etc
    - The graphic-card si then placed in the middel of the airflow

Oh man, I would like flip the mobo to get the cpu underneath and the vga on top, that way WITH the leaning motherboard you will see the beautifull side (fan-side) of your vga? pimp up your vga for that ofcourse..

Or is to big of a hassle to change plans/sides?

That would have looked nice, but first I have to figure out the connections to the mainboard. If I find a practical solution, I may do it.

  18. I see what I like and I like what I see ;)! This is what Raidmax SHOULD be proudcing. And those gold fitting look the shiznit! :thumb:

The harddisk will be attached here with some black plexi

I'm not sure where I will put the radiator yet.
This position is not the best for the airflow, but with 2 fans on the radiator I think it will do ok.

    This have to be black.

I think I must make a bigger window in the sidepanel.

Should I do someting like this?
Cut out the marked areas and put som black plexi behind?
