I am in the works of making a computer inside an ammo box to bring with me to college, and I have discovered a future roadblock in construction. The motherboard I will have (haven't bought it yet) can't go directly up to the side of the ammo box, so I will need to mount the ports on the outside of the case. Now, I would need to take (in the case of the video port) a VGA cable and hook a gender changer on the end and that would be the end of it, except that it needs to be mountable. If anyone can see what I'm talking about and has a solution please post, thanks
I think I know what you're talking about. You can't get the ports to make it to the edge of the case so you need a way to hook it up. Short of splicing a KVM cable, you could convert to S-Video, put a port on the case, and adapt back. That's the cheapest and most low-profile option I can think of.
