Rep system sucks! User annoys a mod, continues to be neged into the red for 2 years. Then mods start reducing everyone's rep claiming the system isn't being used how it should be. meh
Correct. But since it's here (and broken) then those of us with bugger all to do at work can play with it until the teachers tell us to stop. I agree though, the "users who found this post useful" system is far more elegant, and less likely to be abused. Imma go back to staring at my rep bar now, the corporate world can swivel. Ummm, the rep system is meaningless. It has no bearing whatsoever on a person's virtue, trustworthiness or general awesomeness. Which is why we started abusing it in the first place, for a bit of fun. Anyone who thinks it matters in any meaningful way needs to get out more.

This sums up my entire attitude towards rep, Bit-tech and life as a whole. Some people really need to work this out for themselves.
