Have you tried the dye yet ? What results have you got then ?

Do you have the link to the M2.5 screws ? do you know if there are some 10-15mm screws like them ?

What are the specs on the screws btw ?

Damn, that's impressive! but how did you know how to take it apart? and, more importatly, how do you know how to put it back together again?? :wallbash: I'd love to have a go at it with my slim DVD but wouldn't dare trying it without some instructions. Got some useful links or advice on this?

good work, man :D looking forward to seeing how it turns out

A video would be sweet, man  especially as I've got exactly the same brand of DVD. would be very cool to see how it's done (assuming, of course, that you'll actually manage to reconnect all the bits and pieces :D)

    will be watching :eeek:

    Update time!

I bought a gas mask for protection when i paint. :dremel:

    Priming done!

Matte black done! The color isn't fully dried yet, maybe it will become more matte black when it dried. Tho i like this shade of black, not too matte and not too glossy! :D

The paint job itself isn't perfect, it could be much better done tho this will work just fine, this part will never be seen anyways.

I was painting in my bathroom so this is what it looks like after the paint job. :duh:

I will use my old Intel X25-M 80 GB G2 for this build.

Tho it is not perfect so i removed the plastic frame and the horrible stickers, much better! :D

That's all for this time folks!

p.s. Just a quick question, do anyone look at the full res pics(by clicking on them)? Just want to know if i should continue to link the high res pics or not.

    Lookin' good so far :thumb:

I do sometimes for completed pics, or some progress pics, but not usually for parts... (I also link to high res, and I understand that it's a pain sometimes)

Well to be honest I didn't notice they are clickable. But yea I like big pictures, though I have been happy with the normal sized pictures in worklogs cause those are more than enough to show details.

And nice progress by the way. Your pictures are awesome, both small and big ones :thumb:.
