Gigabyte G41-M Combo? as far as I know your CPU is fully compatible, the mobo IS s775. I have a friend with a spare, if you like I can ask him if he would consider selling it and i'll take it off him and deal with it. It supports DDR2/DDR3 (4 DIMM) Not the best overclocker's 775 mobo on the market but s'alright.

    Linky

No promises but will check it out if you want.

Will give him a ring tomorrow and let you know, if he is willing to sell it I will give you the price and will also be taking the mobo from him as I don't want to leave responsibility in somebody else's hands. Anyway, will let you know at some point tomorrow.

I still have a D920 kicking around, if I had more time I'd challenge you to a dual... :p

i would if i was a pro overclocker but iv never overclocked an intel chip in my life i just wont to get a feel plus iv been reading that i could get 4.1ghz from the D 805 from a guide from tom'shardware but id be happy to get 3.8 useing the freezer 7pro and if it's stable i plan to make a folding rig from it drop a 295...

Intels are easy, as they have higher thermal limits, so you can run them hotter...

I had an 805 @ 3.8 under a F7Pro cooler. It got a bit toasty IIRC, but was perfectly stable. It wouldn't do 4GHz stable, but I think that was down to the board I was using at the time.
