    Hmm took me like 15 tries. My brain wasn't clicking in right away and the fact that its 4:30am here and i haven't slept might have something to do with it. :worried: :eeek:

    Took me a couple of minutes, dead easy once you know how. Initially I was thinking way too much about it, and missed the obvious. It would have taken a LOT longer without the hint about the importance of the name though...

    after a few dozen rolls being able to remember distinct sets of dice is admirable... I doubt I could...

    took me 2 wrongs to get it, but i didn't time the mintues. i wasn't agonizing about it, that's for sure.

    and that thing about bill gates is cute, i like the opening line to his BASIC program, hehe.

    Excellent puzzle. :rock:

    I got it after a bit (far too much of course) of work, but enjoyed the process - it made me smile at the end.

    Interesting to see most people are more impressed with their (edit: fast) times than with the concept of the puzzle. Maybe IQ's aren't as high as people think they are, or maybe we're just unappreciative.

    As I said - top puzzle, bring on the next. :thumb:

    This is driving me insane. I'm really bad at these 'figure out the rules' puzzles. I think my mum would have a better chance at this than me. The only things I can think of are:

    The letters in the title 'Petals around the rose' have something to do with it
    There are five dice so maybe if you arrange them in a circle they make some sort of pattern.
    Then there's all the maths things I've tried such as adding and subtracting and looking at pairs of dice and using modular arithmetic...

    I know I'm thinking too hard about it but that's all I can do... :wallbash:
