    I'm not sure why the UK needs a safer internet day since the snoopers charter will ensure all of the pedos are caught.

    It never sneaks up on me! One of my IT jobs is in education, and I am invited to countless seminars, lectures, training days etc. every year about Safer Internet Day and delivering the principles of being safe online to students and pupils.

    Is it just me who finds it funny that this Safer Internet thing is directed at children when they can't use the internet without permission from their parent or the bill payer.

    Only if your going to the sort of sites where your risk of infection is higher than normal ;)
